Booking and Payment

  1. Deposit
    • To secure your booking, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit confirms your reservation and holds your place for the selected event.
  2. Payment Schedule
    • The remaining balance for your booking is divided into two payments: a 50% payment due 60 days before the event and the final 30% due two weeks before arrival
    • Payments can be made securely via PayPal, bank transfer, M-Pesa or cash
  3. Late Payments
    • Failure to make payments on time may result in the cancellation of your reservation. Please ensure payments are made by the specified due dates to avoid losing your spot

Cancellation and Refund Policy

This section provides details on cancellations, refunds, and the conditions under which they apply.

  1. Cancellation by Participant
    • 30-59 Days Before Arrival
      • Cancellations within 30 to 59 days of the event will result in a refund of 25% of the payments received. The 20% deposit remains non-refundable.
    • 14 Days Before Arrival or Less
      • Cancellations made 14 days or less before the event are non-refundable.
  2. Cancellation by Organizer
    • Minimum Participants:
      • A minimum of 4 participants is required for each retreat, tour, or event. If this number is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the event with a full refund provided to all registered participants. This requirement does not apply to stays at the farmhouse
    • Other Cancellations
      • If the organizer must cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided, or the booking may be transferred to a future date.
  3. Force Majeure
    • In the case of natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseeable events, we may need to cancel or reschedule. Bookings affected by these circumstances may be credited toward a future event.

Participation Requirements

  1. Minimum Participants
    • A minimum of 4 participants is required for retreats, tours, and events. If this number is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the event with a full refund provided to all registered participants. This minimum does not apply to stays at the farmhouse
  2. Health and Safety
    • Disclosure of Health Conditions
      • Participants must disclose any relevant health conditions or dietary restrictions before attending. This is to ensure we can provide appropriate support and accommodate specific needs where possible
    • Vaccination and Malaria Advice
      • No vaccinations or malaria prophylaxis are required by law in Kenya. While there is no malaria risk at our farm, there is a potential risk at the coast. For long-term stays, prophylaxis is not available locally. We strongly recommend consulting your doctor or a tropical medicine specialist to receive personalized advice and make an informed decision
    • Fitness Requirements
      • Disclosure of Fitness Limitations
        • Some activities may require a basic level of physical fitness. If you have any health concerns, please consult a healthcare professional before participating in our retreats, tours, or farm activities
        • We encourage participants to inform us of any fitness limitations or concerns prior to the event. This allows us to recommend suitable activities and find solutions to ensure a comfortable experience.
      • Adapting Activities
        • Based on disclosed information, we will provide guidance on which activities are most suitable and offer alternatives if needed
  3. Behavior Expectations

      • Participants are expected to respect local customs, cultural norms, and fellow guests throughout the experience

      • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event without a refund. We aim to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere for all

Use of Third-Party Services

    • We are not responsible for any issues, changes, or cancellations related to third-party services. We act only as an intermediary to facilitate these bookings and will provide information and assistance based on the third-party’s terms.

    • In the event that changes need to be made by a third-party provider, we will do our best to accommodate adjustments, but refunds or modifications will depend on the policies of the third party.

    • Participants affected by a force majeure event will be given the option to transfer their booking to a different date or apply their payment to another available service.

    • While we strive to ensure a seamless experience, we are not liable for losses or additional costs incurred due to force majeure events. We recommend participants have adequate travel insurance to cover unexpected disruptions.
